Always on the lookout for people with a story to tell, Mark sees the old phrase "a picture tells a thousand words" as a challenge. Whether it be an artistic one or an experimental endeavour, he always has some form of creative project up his sleeve.
Simply titled 'BNE', Mark's latest exhibitions have been a part of a series inspired by the people of Brisbane. Initially starting out as an idea to capture inspiring people from each suburb of Brisbane, to tell their stories, Mark soon realised that each of his subjects knew those from previous portraits in one way or another. With this in mind, he decided to let his subjects select the people for his next shoot. This allowed for the inclusion of not only those that inspired himself, but others too. As an ongoing project, toying with idea of 'six degrees of separation', so apparent in a place like Brisbane, Mark continues to shoot and tell the stories of those that inspire the people of this growing city.
