I don’t consider myself to be much of a gear head. As long as the gear I use is designed to last and does what a certain job or project needs it to do, I’m not worried. The reality is every job needs different tools, so I have a basic kit that I can rely on, and hire everything else. If I start to use that gear regularly enough, then I’ll stop hiring it and buy it.
