I felt extremely honoured to have an old friend Lars Wannop ask me to photograph him at the studio earlier this year. As an art director with a genuine curiosity for all things creative and beyond, he was such a pleasure to collaborate with in creating a portrait that would represent him best. He had sent me a reference of an image from my “Echo Chamber” series (on Instagram) and wanted to incorporate a “light playfulness”, with the idea incorporate subtle details to further prompt a curiosity about who he is. We actually ended up including some of the same flowers and some smoke as a throwback to the original reference.
I’m so excited to announce my involvement with photographing Chrissie Swan‘s new fashion range, Avella, for Big W. I worked with Big W and Chrissie to create the imagery to be used for the range, on everything from swing tags, to in-store display. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Here are a few of the images from one of their Melbourne stores and catalogue.
Also on the shelves at the store was Chrissie’s new book, “Is it just me”, which I photographed the cover for!
For a behind the scenes look at the photo shoot itself check out the video by Melbourne film makers Alex and Jono Films!
Many thanks to Elleni Toumpas for all her hard work assisting on the shoot, Lynda Evans from Designedly for her ever exquisite post production work, Watercooler for their ongoing support and of course, Chrissie for being such a legend to work with!
It’s been a busy, but fun few months with a lot of travel, exhibiting and exciting new jobs. One of my recent highlights was working with The Famous Group to shoot this summer campaign for Foot Locker. The shots are now up in-store promoting Foot Locker’s latest summer collection.
